It’s been a long struggling week for our family… there has been a lot of setbacks and stress. Sometimes it hard to see blessings when you are struggling, but I am trying to stay focused on what the Lord gives so here goes…

This week I am thankful for…

10. The ability to drive to work, have a computer, TV, etc. Many people don’t have this.

9. A beautiful sunset.

8. My garden which is growing and hopefully will give me goodies soon 🙂

7. The fresh chicken eggs that make me feel comfort.

6. My puppies who always act silly and make me smile.

5. My mom’s surgery went well and she is feeling better (thank you to those of you who provided input and support with this on my previous post about her pending surgery).

4.  Friends who support and stand up for me.

3. Family who love me.

2.  My hubby who is in all of this with me… by my side 🙂

1. My Lord who is only a prayer away.

  1. Great list! Always good to reflect on that good things in life…especially when the hard creeps up! Where are you in Virginia! Oh how I miss VA!! Raised there but transplanted to Texas…but oh how I miss the Commonwealth!

    • I am near the top of VA almost in Maryland, but closer to WV then the DC area. It has changed a lot in the past few years. Where we are use to be country, but now there is little mini cities and its hard to find space. What part of VA were you in ?

      • Raised in Woodbridge (northern VA – suburb of DC) and I did my undergraduate at JMU (Harrisonburg). While I sure do miss the mighty Blue Ridge Mountains, I don’t miss the beltway and ALL the traffic and hurry!

      • My husband’s brother lives in Woodbridge… what a small world. I did my undergrad at Hollins University its not too far from JMU.

      • small world indeed! I love that you’re trying to get a small ranch / farm of your own – I hope it works out for you! We dream of having some acreage!!

      • It’s not easy, especially with prices being so much. But when God wants us to have it he will provide the way. we have a little bit right now with the chickens, will be happy for that. I hope your fmaily can get the land you want also. I love that you were able to adopt, we may have to explore that option soon.

    • I am glad you came by and I will be happy to visit you again 🙂 I hope you are able to make a grattude list it does help, at least it helps me.
