No not an ice cream sunday with chicken…. it’s Sunday and here is a photo of one of our “ladies”….chicken

I had a decent start to my week considering some not so happy things happened last week. I’m turning it over to God in hopes he will make things good. I was thinking about dreaming and reality and how sometimes we have to be where we are to get where we want to be. I know that may not make sense, but in my head it just means to be content. Contentment leads to feeling blessed and not to wanting more. The pastor talked today about utilizing our resources (money, time, etc) in a way that God would want us to and not use it to just get more “stuff” we don’t need. I think that is a good idea especially since saving and not spending is a good way to save for our goals 🙂 It also means to keep spending time with those people that support my/our growth and aid our process towards our goals. In other words reflection on the bad and continuing to walk though it provides me a different perception that I may not have if things went as smoothly for us as it does for some of those around us. I may not know what the future holds… but I do know who holds our future 🙂

  1. Glad you are finding some peace after whatever struggles last week brought you. Being thankful no matter what is the key to happiness in my opinion. It is always possible to find something to be thankful for no matter how bad the circumstances. And those people that it seems it is going more smoothly for than you, likely it’s not going as smoothly as it looks.

Keep your eyes on HIM! 🙂 Like you said, no matter what happens in the future, He is there.

    • I would agree with you in most circumstances, but in some I definitely know thing are going smoother and there are not as many bumps and the bumps they have are not as big or hard to have faith through. Not that I wish they would be worse, it’s just I know the struggles and have been though the same and from personal experience they are not as bad as other. No ones lives are smooth by any means… that is why looking at the good helps in any circumstances. God is always making a path and I have to keep my eye on that as you said 🙂

      • I’m sorry, I wasn’t trying to downplay your struggle or anything. I really hope things are better for you this week and that you feel God’s presence with you as you go through it.

      • Thank you I apperciate it. After I read your comment I didn’t want ot appear whiney or like I was comparing out without thinking or knowing things for myself. I apperciate your hope and comments 🙂 Please keep them coming I always value others perspectives. 🙂

      • I definitely did not think you were whining. I thought you were focusing on being thankful and content, which I think is great.
The reason I said the thing about the struggle was because I thought you were frustrated that others seemed to have it so smooth and you dont and I was trying to say that you are not alone in having struggles. I clearly did not come across right at all, so sorry again for that, I did not mean to upset you.
I think this is a great post and you seem to be really dealing with these struggles in a good way and seeking God through it all.

      • I apperciate your comments and all is well. I do try to see God though it all… some days it is harder then others… you did not upset me I just try hard not to focus on the negative, but like I said some days it is hard 😉

  2. I sincerely hope everything that is troubling you will soon be better, glad to know you are staying positive! lovely post! Enjoy the rest of your Sunday and hope this week will be much better! 🙂
