When you haven’t done something for a long time I think we all forget some parts of how that particular thing works or goes. Last time we raised chicks I didn’t remember their wings growing so fast and like they are this time. Their little wings look so soft and fluffy… they look like I imagine angel’s wings to look.
Angel wings of soft feathers stretching out to cover us when we need them to, just as the chicks stretch out their soft little wings and sometimes cover their heads with the softness 🙂

I love baby chicks. I just picked up 8 fresh eggs from our girls a few minutes ago. Chicken keeping is a wonderful thing.

Chicken keeping met all of my expectations and bring endless hours of happiness (even cleaning the coop 😉 )

Isn’t it wonderful how we can see God in everything all around us? Love your photos of your precious little chicks! ♡

It is great to try to see God in everything as it allows us to get outside ourselves. I am happy you are enjoying the chick pics 🙂

I wonder what thoughts are going through this little chick’s mind. Oh so cute.

I always think of that too when I watch an animal “what is he/she thinking”.

I love baby chicks. But I don’t have much luck avoiding roosters in the mix. Don’t get me wrong I love my roosters, but we have 10 chickens and 3 are guys! Last year I added two young pullets and this year I am doing the same. Maybe in the future we will try our luck again.

That is rough when you get roosters… I don;t know what we would do with them as they would not fit in where we live as well as the hens do. I wish you luck with your next try with hens 🙂 How do 3 roosters work in a flock ?
