This morning it was a very nice morning… on the way to church the breeze came though the open truck window and provided some cool comfort. By mid day it was hot and humid… so there was no outside work getting done. This Sunday I wanted to update things and show you this last picture of JD my Uncles dog that I have from this past weekend…The garden is doing well. The tomatoes and peppers have so many peppers and little tomatoes I just can taste them… I can’t wait for them to be ripe π The sweet potatoes, green beans, strawberries, okra, onions, are coming up and should be giving us some good food soon. The radishes are almost done for nowΒ and the lettuce went crazy.. I have so much lettuce in my fridge…
The baby buffs are almost as big as the Rhode Islands and are feisty…
They aren’t fond of being picked up or handled, but we are trying to get them better about that incase we have to handle them if they get sick or hurt. They are getting more bold and get in on scratch and treat time with the Rhode Islands. Its fun to watch both groups of chickens mingle and become one big group now.Β I wish all my followers and readers a happy, blessed, and productive week ahead π
Love your photos!! Funny you mentioned lettuce, because my sister just e-mailed me a photo of her lettuce!! She lives in Brooklyn, NY and she’s growing hers on her back patio!! She’s so proud, too!! Hope your week is blessed ,too!
Oh, I am so happy you loved the photos π So much lettuce… I can’t believe how much this year π
You have a great week too! We are also drowning in lettuce. I’ve never seen such a crop. We’ve eaten broccoli, cauliflower, cucumber and squash so far π
Oh those all sound good. I have never been able to get broccoli to grow well.. but our squash grows like crazy, I didn’t plant any this year as we couldn’t eat it all last year or give it all away π
I know what you mean about the lettuce!! I told Hubby to only plant half a row each of spinach and lettuce at a time because even giving it away to everyone I know I had way way to much!
I guess it is the year of the lettuce crops π
