We have a new neighbor… but not your typical neighbor. Our new neighbor is a horse that has come to live in our neighbors field.
I think it is a buckskin and she is so pretty. When I went out and stated talking to her from a ways away she started towards me in a little gallop.
She came over the hill and I started to see the top of her.
She beat me to the fence and started pacing waiting for me to get there.
Back and forth along the fence she went.
It was like she was saying “Hey hurry up”…
“I don’t have all day to wait for you to come visit me”
So I went over and checked her out.
She was quite a beauty and nuzzled my hand looking for a treat.
I stayed and talked with her for a minute.
Her eyes had a kindness to them. They had a sparkle of either mischief or happiness too.
Whatever it was as I turned to walk away I looked back and she was looking off in the distance and gave me a little neigh before lowering her head to eat.
I’ll be back my new friend 🙂
That is a neighbor I’d LOVE to have because I cut up some snack for her and take my cup of coffee out to share with her. You’ll need to add apples and carrots to your shopping list. 🙂
Yes, I think she is a love bug. I didn’t want to take her any treats as I would hate to give her any food she can’t have or maybe allergic to since I haven’t talked to my neighbor about her yet. After I do then she will be spoiled with carrots 🙂
The horse is a beauty! I agree that it looks like a buckskin. What a great neighbor to have!
Megan will love it as she has a soft spot for buckskin horses 🙂

I am taking a liking to buckskins as well. My favorite are paints but now the buckskin is ranking up in my top 3. I hope Megan likes the photos of this beauty 🙂
Just showed them to Megan — she agrees that it is a beauty! She also thinks that you are lucky to have such a great neighbor 🙂
LOL… that’s great she and I have a lot in common 😉 I like my new neighbor too 🙂
Beautiful! You’re very lucky! 😀
Thank you 🙂 I like her 🙂
