Storms a commin’

The other night a storm blew in so quick, but you could see it coming….

Storm 2

I loved seeing the rain sheets coming from the river…

Storm 3

And across the fields towards our house…

Storm 1

The clouds turned and got darker as the storm got closer…

Storm 4

As much as I hate storms it was neat to see all this and be inside my cozy home safe and sound 🙂

Who wants some cake?

Happy Sunday Everyone 🙂

Hope your week has started out well and you are refreshed and ready for the week. I don’t know if I have blogged about this yet, but I have started to make cakes for my friends kids and the kids at church. I am trying to perfect my skills and learn new techniques. I have done many cakes including flower cakes….

It’s been fun to figure out the kids likes and use their interests in a cake. They have all been a success so far and I have done many others. Each time I do a cake I figure out how to do it better the next time. I am working each time to perfect my skills. I hope I can keep getting better and keep making kids smile when they see their cakes. It is a joy 🙂

Changing…

It’s been a long time since I blogged. So much has been going one.  Hubby got hurt at work and is now off work for 6 weeks minimum, my Uncle died, we lost two chickens to something we aren’t sure what, hubby is sick now… whew… and my brain has forgotten all the other changes and business…

Chickens

On the positive we are sticking this all out together and our dogs are cute helpers to me since I have to do all the chores etc. Its been a busy last few weeks. Today is a beautiful Sunday, cooler and sunny. The boys are out on the deck sunning and barking at the neighbors horses who are more active today. The chickens are out pecking in the yard and sunning their feathers.  It’s a beautiful way to start the week. I hope you are all having a beautiful Sunday.
