I have been avoiding my blog for a couple weeks because I had a happy surprise and I couldn’t post about yet. Why you may ask?? Because my mom reads my blog and I hadn’t told her yet and I wanted it to be a surprise for her and my step dad as well. So my thankful post this year starts with this… WE GOT A KITTEN!!!!!!
He is a 3 month old American shorthair and is only 2 1/2lbs. We named him Grayson Gabriel…
He is so perfect for our little family. It took the dogs a few days to accept him and about a week and a half to get used to him being part of the family… but after 2 weeks we have peace in the house and are having so much FUN!
Hubby and I joked when we were going through infertility treatments that if we didn’t have a baby in 5 years we would get a kitten… over 5 years later the running joke became a reality and here is the kitten…
Its a little taste of a baby as we get up with him, have learned his different “meows” and what they mean, have to baby him, get him special food, spend extra time with him, comfort him, and oh he is such a snuggle bug… I just love to snuggle with him.
And he is so funny. After thanksgiving dinner where he got some special wet kitten food he passed out in the sun. It was so funny 🙂
And he LOVES his new hide out box, but hasn’t quite figured out to get his tushy in to really be hidden 😉
I just love to have him snuggled in my arm. He is just so cute so I am sure there will be many posts to come that include him.
I am also thankful this year for my boys and the good big brothers they are being. Chase even shared some thanksgiving goodies with Grayson…

I am thankful my mom and stepdad got to meet Grayson and LOVED him and that hubby and I got to spend a happy thanksgiving day together with my mom and stepdad and all our animals that now total 19 chickens, 2 dogs, and a kitten 🙂
Oh goodness, he is so cute. I want him lol. Our cat is definitely filling the void for now, too! It helps a bit.
Yes he is too cute for his own good 😉 My step dad tried to take him home after thanksgiving… I had to keep an eye on him. 😉 Animals can be our kids even if we do get blessed with kiddos I know our dogs and new little kitten will still be our baby’s 🙂 Its hard but the little bit of relief we get from our pets is nice 🙂 Best of luck to you on your journey to fill your kiddo void and enjoy your cat 🙂
Purrfect last picture for the end of a busy day. 🙂
I agree he was tired… it was a busy day and a lot of activity for such a little kitten 😉
Love it! We have cats and they make awesome additions to the family 🙂
Glad that you had a good Thanksgiving! Sending smiles your way —
