When it is snowy, icy, or windy we check on the chickens a lot as they are usually inside their run. We are making sure they have food, water, and their laying boxes are clean. We also collect the eggs. So when we go outside we have a couple of helpers who go with us. Chase is our biggest helper. He is always up for a walk to the coop, making sure we don’t spill the water when we are taking that out, or that we don’t have any extra treats for him too.

Yesterday when we took out the water Chase was right there with us. Baxter on the other hand was content to explore and do his own thing.

He prefers to leave the big jobs to Chase and keep the exploring and snow eating for himself. At least he was out there ‘in case’.
