How has your day been? Been a busy one in our household. Its nice to be older and not needing the thrills and frills that as a younger person you feel you need, especially after a long day. Its Valentines Day today and I am just as happy to be home with hubby and the boys, eating a nice homemade dinner and watching a movie on TV.

I know a lot of people want to go out on holidays like this, but I am the type of person who likes to save the money, avoid the crowds and waits of a restaurant, and just be with the ones I love. Hubby got me some pretty flowers (see above picture) and Grayson decided to take a little credit for them. He’s a funny boy. It was a long weekend this past weekend too so it’s nice to just be relaxing at home.

On a separate note I baked some conversation heart cookies (see above picture for some of them) this past weekend as well and gave them out at church and then today at work. My cookies are always a big hit and this time people loved that I played off an old childhood candy for the decoration. I have bigger plans for them next year, hopefully I will remember my ideas.
