Happy Day…Three New Awards

Midwest Mary from http://midwestmary.com/ nominated me for some new awards. She is from the Midwest ( LOVE THAT 🙂 I have family there) Her blog covers many topics and she is open to comments and ideas 🙂 She has nominated me for the following three awards:

The acceptance rules require me to:
1. Post the award logo
2. Link to the nominating party
3. List 10 facts about myself
4. Nominate other noteworthy blogs
5. Notify those nominations via comments on their blog.

And here are the 10 facts about myself:

1. I have sewn off and on since I was young, and recently am getting back into it.

2. I love to bake and am taking a class to learn how decorate cakes and cupcakes better soon.

3. I love my pups… ok so you probably know that if you have followed my blog for anytime- but it had to be said again. 😉

4. My favorite season is fall, but I love them all for different reasons 🙂

5. I am currently reading the book Interrupted by Jen Hatmaker.

6.  I love being part of a small church where  can get to know my sisters in Christ.

7. I am a neat freak and like a clean neat house. It drives hubby batty, but with two dog, other animals, us tracking in stuff… the house is constantly in need of tiding up.

8. I love balloons.

9. I love kids… working with them, helping them, doing arts and crafts, playing games, etc. They just make me happy and I just love to watch them learn and grow. I hope someday to have my own to watch grow.

10. I love to travel to new (and old) places and just explore. It is so much fun and I learn new things each time 🙂

I pass these awards on to:

Nature and Life Notes http://natureandlifenotes.com  She writes about nature, birds, baking bread, canning, cooking and so much more. Her photos are beautiful and I don’t know how she gets the great shots of the birds 🙂

Ann at Feedyard Foodie http://feedyardfoodie.wordpress.com Ann is a powerful and kind writer. She is knowledgeable and very much into good animal care. She helps run a feedlot and farm in Nebraska while raising her 3 daughters and advocating for the beef industry. 🙂

Sheryl at Flowery Prose  http://floweryprose.com  She writes mostly about gardening and such, but I enjoy her writing. Her photos are lovely and I have enjoyed her snow pictures recently very much 🙂

Angie at The Novice Gardener http://thenovicegardener.wordpress.com  She writes about cooking, gardening, photography, and more. She writers beautifully and you can tell she holds a degree in journalism. 🙂

Kathy from Lodgehousebandbsomerset  http://lodgehousebandbsomerset.wordpress.com I enjoy her posts about chickens, gardening, and her life in Somerset, England. She has a quaint and enjoyable blog. 🙂

Chase and Other News

My poor Chase is sick… he has had a tummy ache and isn’t holding down much food today. I tried to give him some meds like the doctor said, but he didn’t like it. His gums are still the right color so they said that was good and he is drinking water. So far no issues in the last few hours other then low mood and not being his normal peppy self. If he isn’t better by tomorrow we might just take him in to the vet to get checked out. It may just be his sinuses running into his tummy as he does have allergies. My poor boy he has been staying close to me and has gone everywhere with me today so I could keep an eye on him.Chase sad I pray he will feel better by tomorrow and back to his normal energetic and happy self.

In other news I got nominated for the Wonderful Team Member Readership Award again. wonderful-team-membership-award

This one comes with a different award photo so I am happy to accept it. There are many good blogs out there so in accepting this award I can’t name them all, but I do want to thank Sagescenery for nominating me for this award. You should check out her wonderful and inspiring blog at http://godssceneryandpromises.wordpress.com .

Kindness from others….

So this past week I was nominated for two new awards… I have been slow in accepting as things have gotten away from me. Yet through showing kindness to other this week it has been shown back to me 🙂

I would like to thank The Meandering Matriarch~ AKA:  Suellen Carey-Clarke for nominating me for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award. I have received this one once before, but wanted to mention it again as this as I do not like to ignore a nomination and feel blessed to be nominated again. 🙂

I also was given the Wonderful Team Member Readership Award from Correans Thoughts at http://correnadotme.wordpress.com . She has had a great count down to Christmas post daily.

The only rule I saw was to nominate 14 other people for this award… so I will pass this along to…

Beautiful Blogger Award

Thank you so very much to Eleenie at  http://denobears.wordpress.com/ for nominating me for the Beautiful Blogger Award.

I am very honoured, blessed, and surprised as usual. Eleenie has a great blog about travel, her adorable pets, and her garden 🙂

In accepting this award I should,

1. Copy the Beautiful Blogger Award logo and place it in my post.

2. Thank the person who nominated me and create a link back to their blog. (Thanks again Eleenie at  http://denobears.wordpress.com/)

3. Nominate 7 other bloggers for their own Beautiful Blogger Award

My 7 nominees:

(Yes, I know that is 8, but I couldn’t decide so all 8 get my nomination). Go check out these blogs… I know you will like them 🙂

Heat, Humidity, and Awards

The temperature got up over 100* today and felt even higher with the humidity. I walked outside this morning at 7:30 AM and I was already sweating just letting the chickens out of the coop. I am glad I put fresh cold water in all the buckets and in the baby/doggie pool last night so the chickens all had fresh water today. What we really need is this…

A nice cool waterfall for the chickens to drink out of and the dogs to get into. (Hey I wouldn’t mind it myself.)

I wanted to give a shout out to Life As Story Blog http://thewrightsstuff.wordpress.com who gave me my second nomination for the One Lovely Blog Award. She is a home schooling mom who finds joy in every day things 🙂 Since I have already filed the requirements for this award in my previous post https://seasonsgirl.wordpress.com/2012/06/22/one-lovely-blog-award/  I will leave this at a Thank you to Life As Story.

It’s suppose to be over 100* with bad humidity this whole weekend so I will be spending a lot of time inside doing chores and organizing. I hope you all have a beautiful and blessed weekend…. I am off to take care of hubby as he has strep throat and the flu so he needs some extra TLC right now.

Inspiring Awards…

I have been nominated for two more awards… the Very Inspiring Blogger Award and Inspiring Blogger Award… I am not sure if they are the same thing… but since I don’t know I am going to address both of them.  I didn’t want to wait much longer to thank the generous bloggers who gave me the award nominations. Thank you Literary Tiger from http://literarytiger.wordpress.com and Simply Joys from http://lesseffort.wordpress.com .  Simple Joys has some lovely photos and quotes in a simple and elegant way. Literary Tiger has a whole blog about books… don’t we all love books 🙂

The rules appear the same for both so I will do them as such….

1.  Thank the person who nominated you -(see above)

2.  Share 7 things about yourself.

3.  Nominate 15 other bloggers that you admire or inspire you

4.  Go leave a comment and let the people know you have nominated

My Seven things…

  1.  I love to read the bible and learn all I can about how to be a better person.
  2. I enjoy looking at and tending flowers.. they always make me smile.
  3. I like old records and listing to music… you can use music to make you feel better, calm you down, wake up, etc.
  4. I like to play board games.
  5. I enjoy hiking, especially with the pups 🙂
  6. I love old tractors. I think farmers are an important part of our country and are not acknowledged enough. I learned to drive a big farm tractor almost as soon as I could see above the steering wheel.
  7. I believe in trying to do one good deed a day to bless someone else.

The nominations for the Inspiring Blog Award…

Ok so this was hard the last time… so many of you have already received these awards. So I chose a few I saw did not have this award/badge.

Thanks again  Literary Tiger from http://literarytiger.wordpress.com and Simply Joys from http://lesseffort.wordpress.com I enjoy both your blogs. Many blessings to all of my followers 🙂

One Lovely Blog Award

Marsha Lee from http://tchistorygal.wordpress.com/, nominated my blog for the Lovely Blog Award! I am so blessed! This is my third award and each one is special in it own way and brings a different blessing. It is so wonderful someone appreciates my blog enough to nominate me so thank you Marsha Lee. Marsha Lee’s blog is filled with memories of her teaching, lovely photos, and engaging personal thoughts. Thank you Marsha Lee. 🙂

These are the rules for receiving this award:

1.) Thank the person who nominated you and link back to them in your post.  (See above)

2.) Share 7 things about yourself.

  •  I love the Lord… if you haven’t figured that out yet. God is my leader, provider, and keeper of my heart.
  • My husband and I are working to start our family. I have loved kids since I was one. I love to care for them and just be in their presence. I long for one of my (our) own and am just waiting on God’s timing.
  • I love animals, especially dogs, horses, chickens, goats, and most farm animals. I also love red pandas and otters (they are just so cute and interesting).
  • I love to cook, especially for my family.
  • I love to bake and have a special family cookie I make on holidays that are in high demand at my job (they are requested and people get mad if a holiday goes by and I don’t make them).
  • I play the clarinet (since age 12) and the piano (since age 5). I played though college and have tapered off since, but am working to get back my “skills”.
  • I am a neat freak… I love to keep my house clean and organized… sometimes to my husbands frustration 😉

3.) Nominate 15 or so bloggers you admire.

In no particular order, here are the 15 blogs that I have enjoyed during my blogging journey.

That is the time-consuming, but interesting part. Some of the sites you may not get back to as regularly as you mean to do, so this is a great way to revisit those who have encouraged you along the way. Thanks so much to all of you, and especially http://tchistorygal.wordpress.com/ Marsha Lee for this nomination.
