Thoughts and Prayers

My families thoughts and prayers continue to be with those in Texas and Louisiana affected by the hurricane. We have also added the people of Florida to this list.

I have family down there including my dad who is on his way back up here. As some of you know who have been following my blog for a while, my dad is paralyzed from below the chest. He finally agreed to leave so he could be safe. We pray if you know people down there they left and are safe as well. Thoughts and prayer with Texas, Louisiana, Florida, and any other states that may be impacted by these horrible hurricanes and the tornados happening because of them.

And back again…

I know I just posted about the looks of spring coming to our area. I was looking forward to some nicer weather and the wind to not be so much of a bother.

But today I woke up to this… snow, cold, wind 😦 The ground, deck, and all were covered.

My flower beds were covered too and my poor budding flowers.

I guess old man winter is not ready to let go just yet. I hope it doesn’t keep my tulips and other flowers from blooming when spring does finally decide to stay. Weather says possibly more snow tonight. We shall see.

Happy Easter!

The Lord is risen… blessed be the day 🙂

HAPPY EASTER!

Light, flowers, and such

Yesterday I found a new color tulip in our yard. I don’t remember it in the past and I had not seen it yet this year. This yellow tulip was growing on the side of the house that gets the least sun in the day, but I tried to wait untill it had some sun before I took this.

I then noticed the pink tulip I have in the front flower bed was starting to open.

I thought it was just neat the way flowers grow and bloom. And that pink tulip was just beautiful with the white on the bottom, pink on top, and the slightly open flower. The cherry tree also had some more blooms and the light made the flowers pretty shinning though it (I don’t think I did it justice).

I also enjoyed the way the light was hitting our wood pile.

The chickens are out and about today in the yard and the dogs are in the chair with me as I write this as I think they need some love this morning. It’s cloudy and chilly this morning. I hope it warms up and the sun comes out as the yard needs to be mowed and I want to plant some onion bulbs. I am off to do Sunday chores inside until my husband gets home from work. Have a blessed sunday 🙂
