Forest water

So I promised more pictures from my trip… but since we got back I have been so busy getting things ready for winter with hubby that my computer has stayed more shut then open. Plus hubbys sister, brother-in-law, mom, and step-father have come in to town to visit hubbys uncle who is sick. So, between family, chores, work, and normal day to day things I have little time for much else. So here is one more photo to hold you until I get through some more photos.WaterfallThis picture was from the Smokey Mountain National Forest. We did a little hiking, horse back riding, and driving though the forest. It is a beautiful place and we would have LOVED to have spent more time exploring this vast forest. Hope you have all had a good week and that the week to come brings you blessings.  🙂

Heat, Humidity, and Awards

The temperature got up over 100* today and felt even higher with the humidity. I walked outside this morning at 7:30 AM and I was already sweating just letting the chickens out of the coop. I am glad I put fresh cold water in all the buckets and in the baby/doggie pool last night so the chickens all had fresh water today. What we really need is this…

A nice cool waterfall for the chickens to drink out of and the dogs to get into. (Hey I wouldn’t mind it myself.)

I wanted to give a shout out to Life As Story Blog who gave me my second nomination for the One Lovely Blog Award. She is a home schooling mom who finds joy in every day things 🙂 Since I have already filed the requirements for this award in my previous post  I will leave this at a Thank you to Life As Story.

It’s suppose to be over 100* with bad humidity this whole weekend so I will be spending a lot of time inside doing chores and organizing. I hope you all have a beautiful and blessed weekend…. I am off to take care of hubby as he has strep throat and the flu so he needs some extra TLC right now.
